Course Description
This course will cover all the relevant concepts and ideas tested in the AMC8/MATHCOUNTS problem series. This course will be split into an Algebra, Geometry, and Number Theory/Combinatorics sections and will also teach basic problem-solving skills and mathematical intuition.
Dates
This course will last 18 weeks, from 08/17/2024 to 12/21/2024. Classes will be held weekly on Saturdays from 5-6:30, and there will be a break on the week of Thanksgiving (11/30/2024).
Prerequisites
This class is targeted towards students aged 9-14, but both younger and older students can take the class depending on their level of math. Students should be familiar with basic algebraic concepts like variables and solving equations. They should also be able to reason abstractly and understand key geometric principles such as planes, lines, and points.
Additional Information
Classes will be held weekly on Zoom, and students will be expected to turn their cameras on. Class materials and handouts will be posted on Google Classroom, and optional homework will also be sent out. Students are not required to submit homework but are highly encouraged to in order to gain the most out of this class.

The total course fee is $270. There is a $60 referral coupon available for the referrer and referee.
